Yiddish New York is Daytime Educational & Arts Workshops for All Ages, Evening Festival of Yiddish Performing Arts, Visual Arts Exhibition, Yiddish Film Festival, an inclusive community working to advance, contemporary Yiddish culture, scholarship, activism and much more!
Polna Shepherd’s Yiddish Choir is part of this year’s online programme.
Dive into Yiddish harmonies in style and explore Yiddish sound, phrasing and expression in a choir setting with attention to history and cultural context. Make it sound rich and modern yet with a proper nod to tradition, embellish it with krekhtsn and sing, sing, sing, because it’s good for the spirit.
New and traditional choir arrangements in 3-5 part vocal harmonies will be taught with sheet music and by ear.

If the group feels inspired, we will create a music video of some other final product for our course. Let’s get creative!
