Klezmer New Leaders Fellows: Melissa Markoff, Beth Silver and Lorie Adi Wolf

This is the second year that BKCM has selected three women or gender-nonbinary fellows interested in expanding their knowledge of the klezmer repertoire, arranging, improvisation and composition. Led by klezmer accordionist Ira Temple, with assistance from cellist Francesca Ter-Berg, the fellows receive mentorship from established women and nonbinary musicians in the klezmer scene. The fellows learn about band-leading, finding performance opportunities, recording and producing their own music.
