Now an internationally renowned singer\, she brings the songs of the Steppes and the Shtetl up to date with passion and haunting soul. Her singing\, though based on traditional forms\, cuts a sound deeply rooted in East European Jewish and Russian folk songs. \nKARIN SARKISJAN (AM) \nGeboren in Armenien und mittlerweile in der Slowakei lebend\, verfolgt Karin Sarkisjan als Sängerin und Instrumentalistin ihre künstlerische Vision. Geschätzt von Klezmergrößen wie Lorin Sklamberg oder Michael Alpert gehört sie zu den gefragtesten Stimmen der slowakischen World Music Szene\, singt unter anderem bei der Preßburger Klezmer Band\, Balkansambel\, Shum Davar und anderen. \n  \nBesetzung: \nKarin Sarkisjan: Stimme\, Klavier \nBorn in Armenia and now living in Slovakia\, Karin Sarkisjan shaped her own musical vision\, in the process becoming one of the most prolific voices of the Slovakian World Music scene.
