DESCRIPTION:Pitchfolk 2025 – A weekend of friendship\, feasting and workshops of songs from around the world \nBOOK HERE \n\nREAD FULL EVENT INFO HERE \nFor the fourth Pitchfolk weekend we’ll be learning Yiddish and Slavic songs\, and special arrangements of Icelandic folk songs. As well as the singing workshops we’ll have\, as always\, storytelling\, informal singing sessions\, and our Saturday night feast\, with performances from the floor.  \nThis year we’ll be based at the Quaker Meeting house in Street\, near Glastonbury\, with camping on site\, good public transport links\, and all amenities close by. \n\nThis year we’ll be learning Yiddish and Slavic songs\, with Polina Shepherd\, leader of Slavic Voices choir\, and special arrangements of Icelandic folk songs with renowned Icelandic folk singer\, Bara Grimsdottir. As well as the singing workshops we’ll have\, as always\, storytelling\, informal singing sessions\, and our Saturday night feast\, with performances from the floor.\n \n\n\nThe detailed programme for this year’s Pitchfolk weekend has now been finalised\, have a look.\n\n\nFriday\n3.00 – 5.00pm optional activity with Sharon\n5.30 – 7.00pm evening meal\n7.00 – 8.30pm workshop with Marion Fleetwood\n8.30pm onwards informal socialising and singing.\n\n\nSaturday\n9.30 – 11.00 workshop with Polina Shepherd\n11.15 – 12.45 workshop with Bara Grimsdottir\n12.45 – 2.45 lunch\, and optional activity/storytelling with Sharon Jacksties\n2.45 – 5.45 workshops with each leader\, splitting in smaller groups\n7.00 – 9.00pm tapas and floor spots at Mullions\n9.00pm onwards informal socialising and singing\n\n\nSunday\n10.30 – 12.30 recaps of main songs\n12.30 -1.30 lunch\n1.30 final sing through\n \n\n\n‘Superb workshop leaders\, variety of workshop content\, effortless community building through singing together\, potential for developing into a jewel of a festival\, embodying the best of small and local.’\n‘I enjoyed learning about different singing techniques.
